The Stephens County Marshal provides Animal Control services for the county. The Animal Control Officer will investigate animal cruelty complaints, enforce city and county code infractions, issue citations and appear in court cases. Their services are meant not only to protect the public from potentially harmful animals, but more importantly to educate county residents on how to prevent hazardous conditions and protect animals that can’t protect themselves. The Animal Control Officer works together with the community to protect one another, as well as innocent animals through responsible care, compassion and awareness.
How to contact the Animal Control Officer:
For Non-Emergency issues – Stray/nuisance animals – CALL 706-779-3911
Emergency issues: – Animal bites to pets or people – CALL 911
